Helping women live healthier, happier lives.
My massage journey......
I started my massage journey in 1996, in San Diego CA, at The School of Healing Art. I graduated in 1999 with my Holistic Health Practitioner. Having back issues as a child, I wanted to learn what I could do for myself, being proactive in my own health. Massage school helped me understand my body more and how to prevent future flare ups or getting more injuries. I love being able to help others with tips I have learned throughout my career and lifestyle to better my clients.
As a mom, wife and being self employed, I know life can be crazy. I know we need to take care of ourselves so we can take care of others. Often times we get lost and forget about ourselves and can effect us physically and emotionally. Massage is just not about the physical touch but its also emotional. Many people have illnesses due to stress, anxiety and taking 60/90/120 minutes a month can greatly help by relaxing the mind.
My cupping journey..........
During the 2016 Summer Olympics, I discovered cupping. After taking a course here in Hawaii, I realized how much cupping has helped me save my hands, how effortless it is to perform and how effective it is for my clients. I took 6 months of additional one on one training and now I have designed a workshop that addresses many issues our clients have, a workshop that has lots of hands on training and a workshop that I love to teach. Massage therapists and physical therapists can greatly benefit from this modality. Students must know basic anatomy of the body to register and is NCBTMB approved for 8 c.e's.
Reflexology..............
Many people underestimate a good foot massage! Whether you are a massage therapist wanting to learn more about the feet to give better foot massages in your practice, you are a client who stands all day or maybe have feet issues, reflexology is a great to know or receive! The Reflexology workshop is open to anyone and is NCBTMB approved for 14 c.e's.
Lymphatic Massage.........
Lymphatic massage is important to receive after a surgical procedure to move the excess fluid to the proper lymph nodes so the patient can heal quicker and reduce the risk of infection. This procedure DOES NOT move fluid through surgical incisions, this should NEVER be done. Lymphatic massage is a very light technique which moves or reroutes fluid/edema to the proper channels and is recommended to get done as soon as 48-72 hours after surgery.
